Have you ever had a moment when you wanted to relive an experience by hitting the replay button? Or press pause because you want an experience to linger? We can all relate, especially when it comes to recalling special moments: visiting family or friends, attending an amazing concert, or going on that much-needed vacation or weekend getaway.
It’s only natural to want to revisit a great experience. That’s how I feel about Amplify A|E|C—but with a twist. I’ve been to the SMPS annual conference numerous times, 15 to be exact. So, yes, you could say I’m a huge fan! Even though it’s an experience I’d love to have over and over again, hitting the replay or pause buttons on past conferences distracts me from focusing on new or future conferences. Each Amplify A|E|C is different, and that’s what I look forward to the most—new ideas, new connections, or new ways of thinking.
It’s critical to anticipate what the future holds. As I just passed the midway mark of my board presidency, I am focusing on how SMPS can continue to be the hub for business growth. One option is to cultivate professionals with diverse expertise to sustain a thriving industry. Well, guess what? A thriving industry only works when you have thriving professionals. To achieve this, A/E/C marketers, business developers, and other firm leaders need tools and resources. That’s where Amplify A|E|C comes into play.
The planning committee is dedicated to bringing you a best-in-class experience with every decision they make about programming, networking, and educational content. However different the conferences may be, we can always expect a constant theme: innovation. This fundamental consistently takes center stage as the Society continues to move the needle forward, whether in Salt Lake City this July or Columbus, OH, next year, and beyond.
The need to learn, evolve, and challenge the way we think, is critical to our success. Are you ready for Amplify A|E|C and make room to experience the new and the next? I hope you’ll join me in Salt Lake City, where we’ll lead from every seat, transform marketing and business development, and innovate so we can continue to thrive.
Dana
