Overview
Change is inevitable, but getting everyone on board will always be the greatest challenge. The first Pinnacle capstone group simulated a group therapy session where each participant represented a different personality type to illustrate the perspectives workers have when it comes to embracing or resisting the adoption of artificial intelligence in their firm.
Challenge Statement
Persistant Resistance to Change
Strategy
Recognize the need for change Identify opportunities for improvement Alignment through collaboration Execute measurable goals and incremental change
Solutions
The Grow group presented several solutions during the mock therapy session. On the hot topic of AI, one solution was to create non-traditional roles specifically around AI to bring in experts to guide the firm through an AI transition. Setting a clear vision and determining how to measure success by breaking the challenge into smaller pieces, then testing and refining the process. Start a task force to start the AI transition conversation that includes marketing, IT, project delivery, human resources, an intern (who brings a new voice), internal communications to build consensus and disseminate information back to their respective teams. A strong communications plan is essential for change management.
