Overview
Mental health challenges leading to workforce burnout is an issue that affects all companies, of all sizes. Firms must normalize these challenges and find ways to support employees.
Challenge Statement
Stigma surrounding mental health needs is leading to workforce burnout.
Strategy
By building a culture that provides a safe space for employees to share their mental health struggles and provide benefits to support them, firms can retain talent and decrease employee turnover.
Solutions
Use tools to create and measure a well-being program
  • Provide access to benefits and ensure that employees know how to access these benefits and that they are available
  • Create a tool like a visual well-being indicator, which lets people know where you are at that day and what support you need
  • Annual company-wide training focused only on well-being topics.
  • Incorporate well-being benefits into onboarding training.
  • Check-in meetings between managers and employees focused on checking in on them emotionally, separate from regular one-on-one meetings or reviews.
